Newport News Police Seek Help to Identify Robbery Suspects

NEWPORT NEWS, VA—The Newport News Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a robbery. On Saturday, July 27, shortly after 11:00 PM, two unknown Black males targeted the 7-11 located at the 3600 block of Washington Avenue.

The suspects, armed with a firearm, demanded and obtained an unspecified amount of cash from the register before fleeing the scene on foot.

The first suspect was described as wearing a blue mask, a black hoodie with unidentified white writing, black jeans, blue sneakers, and carrying a backpack. The second suspect wore a black face mask, surgical gloves, a blue hoodie, gray jeans, and white and gray sneakers.

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or to submit tips online via the P3Tips App or P3Tips.com.

Tipsters can remain anonymous, are not required to testify in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,500 if their information leads to an arrest.
