NJ Clearwater Festival Returns to Asbury Park for its 49th Year

August 30, 2024

ASBURY PARK, NJ – The NJ Friends of Clearwater Festival is set to make a vibrant return to Asbury Park for its 49th annual celebration on August 31 and September 1, 2024. Held at the picturesque Sunset Park, this two-day open-air event will run from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, offering a rich mix of music, activism, and community spirit.

The festival, rooted in environmental advocacy, serves as a vital gathering place for those passionate about protecting the planet. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with leading enviro-activists, explore ideas at discussion round-tables, and browse through crafts and green vendors showcasing eco-friendly products and services.

Music lovers can look forward to performances on two stages, featuring top folk and rock acts that uphold the spirit of fellowship and song pioneered by the legendary Pete Seeger. As the festival continues Seeger’s legacy, it combines entertainment with a powerful message of environmental stewardship.

In addition to music and activism, the festival will also feature a variety of food trucks offering delicious fare, as well as special activities designed to entertain and educate children. With its unique blend of fun, inspiration, and education, the NJ Clearwater Festival promises to be a highlight of the Labor Day weekend.

Sunset Park, with its lush greenery and scenic views, provides the perfect backdrop for this celebration of community and the environment. As the festival marks nearly half a century of advocacy and music, it remains a vital and joyful expression of New Jersey’s commitment to a sustainable future.
