No Garbage Collection on Labor Day in Toms River; Here’s the New Schedule

Toms River, NJ — The Toms River Township Department of Public Works will be closed on Labor Day, September 4, 2023. As a result, there will be no sanitation and recycling collections on that day, and the Recycling Convenience Center will also be closed.

Residents should note that all collections are postponed by one day due to the holiday closure. Friday’s regular sanitation collections will be moved to Saturday, September 9.

For Barrier Island residents, beginning the week of September 4, the regular collection schedules will resume.

Sanitation collections will take place every Monday, and recycling collections will revert to every other Monday. The first recycling collection of the month is scheduled for September 11.
