OGDENSBURG, NY – A routine midday lottery drawing turned profitable in St. Lawrence County after a single Take 5 ticket sold in Ogdensburg matched all five numbers and claimed a top prize worth $19,112.50.

The New York Lottery announced one top-prize-winning ticket was sold for the Feb. 6 Take 5 Midday drawing. The winning ticket was purchased at Price Chopper, located at 2981 Ford Street Extension in Ogdensburg.

Take 5 numbers are drawn from a pool of one through 39, with drawings held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Lottery officials reminded players that prizes from draw games must be claimed within one year of the drawing date.

The New York Lottery reported it remains the largest and most profitable lottery in North America, contributing $3.6 billion during the most recent fiscal year to benefit public schools throughout New York State.
