New York, NY – An off-duty New York City Department of Corrections employee, Shanell Reliford, 40, was arrested and charged with assault and harassment late Friday night. The incident occurred in Queens, police said.

Reliford, who has been associated with the city’s Department of Corrections, faced immediate arrest at 10:51 PM. Details regarding the circumstances of the incident leading to the charges were not disclosed.
