Queens, NY – A 15-year-old boy was slashed multiple times in the face during a morning subway ride in Queens, prompting a search for the suspect who fled the scene, according to the NYPD.
The attack occurred around 7:15 a.m. Monday aboard a northbound A train within the confines of the 106th Precinct and Transit District 23. Police said the unidentified individual approached the teen and carried out the assault before escaping.
Suspect fled at Broad Channel station
According to NYPD Crimestoppers, the suspect exited the train at the Broad Channel subway station and fled in an unknown direction.

“On Monday, March 30, 2026, at approximately 7:15 AM, an unidentified individual slashed a 15-year-old male victim multiple times in the face while onboard a northbound ‘A’ train,” NYPD Crimestoppers stated.
The circumstances leading up to the attack have not been disclosed, and authorities have not said whether the victim and suspect knew each other.
Police ask public for help identifying suspect
The investigation remains ongoing as police work to identify and locate the individual responsible. Officials are urging anyone with information to come forward.
