NEW YORK, NY—A 57-year-old woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of West 218 Street and Broadway on Monday, July 15, at approximately 12:45 PM.

The victim was struck by an individual operating a moped, who was traveling southbound on Broadway at the time of the collision.

The impact caused the woman to lose consciousness and sustain a broken jaw. She was quickly attended to by Emergency Medical Services and transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem.

The individual responsible for the accident fled the scene on foot and remains unidentified. He is described as a male with a dark complexion and slim build, last seen wearing a black skull cap, a white tank top, black shorts, and black and red sneakers. The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect to ensure accountability and prevent further incidents. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
