NYPD searches for suspect in $500 Harlem burglary

NEW YORK, NY — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a burglary at a Harlem business.

Police reported that around 3:10 a.m. on Friday, December 27, an unidentified male forcibly entered a store at 1980 Amsterdam Avenue through the front door.

Once inside, the suspect stole approximately $500 from the cash register before fleeing northbound on Amsterdam Avenue.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, believed to be between 20 and 30 years old.
