NYPD Seeks Public Help to Identify Suspect in Hate Crime Incident

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a hate crime incident at Christopher Park. The incident occurred on Saturday, June 22, at approximately 8:00 PM, within the 6th Precinct.

According to the report, the suspect entered the park located at 34 Christopher Street and vandalized property by breaking 15 pride flags before fleeing the scene on foot. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with this act of vandalism.

The suspect is described as having a slim build and long hair, last seen wearing a blue sleeveless t-shirt, a neck scarf, dark-colored sweatpants, and black and blue sneakers.

The NYPD is actively investigating this hate crime and urges anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the individual to come forward to help ensure community safety and bring the perpetrator to justice.
