NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect involved in a public lewdness incident that occurred on a northbound “F” train in Brooklyn on Thursday, August 15.

According to police reports, at approximately 11:45 a.m., a 24-year-old woman was seated aboard the train near the Ditmas Avenue station when an unidentified individual sat across from her and exposed his genitals. The suspect then proceeded to perform a lewd act in front of the victim.

The individual’s exit point from the train remains unclear. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

The suspect is described as a male with glasses, a beard, and long black hair. He was last seen wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black sneakers.

The NYPD has released images of the suspect and is urging anyone with information to come forward. “We are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying this individual,” the department said in a statement.
