NYPD Seeks Public’s Help in Identifying Suspect in Subway Lewdness Incident

BRONX, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man involved in a public lewdness incident that took place aboard a southbound “5” train within the 41st Precinct/Transit District 12.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at approximately 9:10 p.m.

An 18-year-old female was seated on the train near the Simpson Street station when an unknown male sat across from her, exposed his genitals, and began performing a lewd act.

The suspect fled the scene, exiting the train at the Simpson Street station and disappearing to an unknown location. The victim was not physically harmed during the incident.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 25 years old, 5’10” tall, and weighing around 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with the word “TIME” in yellow letters on the front, light-colored shorts, and white sneakers.
