NYPD seeks suspect in October assault on 75-year-old man aboard MTA bus

Police hunt for suspect who attacked elderly man on East Harlem bus.

MANHATTAN, N.Y. — The NYPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with the assault of a 75-year-old man aboard an M102 bus in East Harlem on October 2, 2024.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. near Lexington Avenue and East 96th Street. Police reported that the suspect repeatedly punched the victim in the head before fleeing the bus on foot to an unknown location.

The victim suffered lacerations to the head and sought medical treatment at a local hospital by private means.

Authorities have released images of the suspect in hopes of gathering information about his identity and whereabouts.
