OCEAN CITY, Md. — The Ocean City Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision involving a tram that occurred Tuesday evening on the Boardwalk near Dorchester Street.

At approximately 8:14 p.m., a 2-year-old male was crossing the Boardwalk tram pad near Dorchester Street when he was struck by a southbound tram. Emergency medical personnel from Ocean City EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the child deceased.

Both tram conductors remained on the scene following the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
