Ohio jackpot dreams come true as Lorain player snags $324K prize

LORAIN, OH — A Rolling Cash 5 ticket sold in Lorain has delivered a $324,000 jackpot win to one Ohio Lottery player, officials confirmed.

The winning ticket was purchased at Raceway Pure Gas, located at 3040 Oberlin Avenue in Lorain, for the April 15 drawing. The player, who selected their own numbers, matched all five winning numbers: 8, 24, 33, 37, and 39.

After required state and federal tax withholdings of 28 percent, the winner will take home approximately $233,280.

Self-picked numbers pay off big for Ohio lottery player

Rolling Cash 5 is a daily draw game offering players a shot at a growing jackpot seven days a week, with drawings held nightly at 7:05 p.m. The jackpot continues to reset and climb until a winning ticket is sold.

The Raceway Pure Gas retailer where the ticket was purchased will not receive a sales bonus for this prize level, according to Ohio Lottery guidelines.

The Ohio Lottery noted that more than $33 billion has been raised for education in the state since 1974 through its lottery games.
