Findlay woman wins $50K on Ohio Lottery scratch-off at local carry-out store

Findlay, OH — A $5 scratch-off ticket turned into a $50,000 windfall for one Findlay woman this week, after she played the Ohio Lottery’s Cash Explosion 25X game and landed one of the game’s top-tier prizes.

The ticket was purchased at Wolfies Carry Out, located at 340 Glessner Avenue in Findlay. After mandatory state and federal tax withholdings totaling 28%, the winner will receive $36,000.

The Cash Explosion 25X ticket is a $5 game offering a top prize of $150,000. As of October 1, seven top prizes remain unclaimed, according to the Ohio Lottery.

Wolfies Carry Out also gains recognition for selling the winning ticket, which continues a streak of big scratch-off wins across Ohio.

The Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $34 billion to education since its inception in 1974.
