Ohio Lottery Player Grabs $50K Cash Plus Prize

MALTA, Ohio — Randy Tompkins II of Beverly is celebrating a $50,000 prize on the Ohio Lottery’s $10 Cash Plus scratch-off, officials announced Wednesday.

Tompkins purchased the winning ticket at Par Mar Store #5, located on North Main Street in Malta. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he will take home approximately $36,000.

Cash Plus offers a top prize of $300,000, with two of those top prizes still unclaimed as of July 2.

Lottery funds support education statewide

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to public education.

Players can learn more about remaining scratch-off prizes and how to claim winnings by visiting the Lottery’s website.

No further details about Tompkins’ future plans were released.
