Ohio Lottery Player Wins $2 Million from Scratch-Off Game

June 23, 2024

AMHERST, OH—A lucky individual has won a $2,000,000 top prize from the Ohio Lottery’s $2,000,000 Diamond Spectacular scratch-off game. The winning ticket was purchased at DM Mart, located at 167 Cleveland Ave in Amherst.

The winner opted for the cash payout of $1,000,000 rather than the annuity option of $80,000 annually for 25 years. After a combined state and federal tax deduction of 28%, the winner will receive approximately $720,000.

The $2,000,000 Diamond Spectacular scratch-off, which costs $20 to play, still offers players the chance to win one of two remaining top prizes under the Mega Multiplier series, along with other significant prizes.
