TOLEDO, Ohio — A 33-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly dousing the mother of his child with gasoline and setting her on fire, according to a criminal complaint filed in Toledo Municipal Court.

Delvon Terrell Stone was charged with aggravated arson involving substantial risk of serious physical harm to a person other than the suspect, along with felonious assault and domestic violence. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on or about April 28 in Toledo, Lucas County.

The court document states that the defendant and victim share a child. During the alleged assault, Stone reportedly poured gasoline on the victim and ignited it, causing severe burns to her body. The injuries required medical treatment and surgeries.

According to the complaint, Stone has two prior convictions for domestic violence in Lucas County. Officer Lisa Fauver of the Toledo Police Department submitted the sworn statement on May 23.
