One Child Dead Three Hospitalized for Fentanyl Poisoning at Bronx Day Care Center

NEW YORK, NY – Divino Niño Daycare in the Bronx turned into a crime scene on Friday when several children were discovered unresponsive after being put down for naps. One child died, and first responders successfully administered Narcan to at least one of the other affected children.

The daycare facility located at 2707 Morris Avenue made an emergency 911 call shortly before 3 p.m., reporting multiple children unconscious and unresponsive. Law enforcement and emergency services arrived at the scene to find four children in distress.

Nicholas Dominici, a 1-year-old male, later died at Montefiore Medical Center. A 2-year-old male remains in critical condition, while an 8-month-old female and another 2-year-old male are listed in stable condition.

Police sources confirm that Narcan was administered to the affected babies, successfully reviving at least one of them. The investigation remains ongoing to determine the cause of this tragic incident. Further details will be released as they become available.

Upon arrival at 2:41 pm, responding officers discovered a 1-year-old male, a 2-year-old male, and an 8-month-old female, all unconscious and unresponsive. Emergency Medical Services transported the children to Montefiore Medical Center. The 1-year-old, identified as Nicholas Dominici, was pronounced deceased. The 2-year-old male remains in critical condition, while the 8-month-old female is in stable condition.

Additionally, a fourth child, another 2-year-old male, was taken to BronxCare Health System via private means and is listed in stable condition.

The NYPD is conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the incident. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
