WINSTON-SALEM, NC – A man has been pronounced dead following an early morning shooting on Sunday, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
Officers responded to a reported shooting in the 3000 block of North Glenn Avenue around 4:52 a.m.
Upon arrival, they discovered Calvin Lavar Cunningham, 34, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite life-saving attempts at the scene, Cunningham succumbed to his injuries. His next-of-kin has been notified.
Currently, there is no information regarding a suspect, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the investigation is asked to contact the Winston-Salem Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
