One shot, dead on Allentown Road in Suitland

SUITLAND, Md. — Prince George’s County Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday in the 7000 block of Allentown Road, where one person was pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds.

Officers responded to the area shortly before noon following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they located an individual suffering from gunshot injuries. That person was declared dead on scene, police said.

“We are on the scene of a fatal shooting in the 7000 block of Allentown Rd. More information to come,” the Prince George’s County Police Department posted on X.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, and no information about potential suspects or motive has been provided at this time. The investigation remains active, and detectives were seen canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance footage.
