McKeesport, PA – Allegheny County homicide detectives are investigating a shooting Sunday night in McKeesport that left one woman dead and a man critically injured.
Police said County 9-1-1 received reports of gunfire around 8:48 p.m. in the 500 block of Pirl Street. When first responders arrived, they found an adult female and an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The male victim was also transported and remains in critical condition.
Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims or any suspect information.
