One Dead, One Injured in Red Bank Double Shooting

FREEHOLD, NJ—The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office is actively investigating a deadly shooting in Red Bank that occurred early last Wednesday, leaving one man dead and another injured. Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago provided updates on the ongoing case.

The incident unfolded at around 3:13 AM on July 10, when Red Bank Police were called to the 100 block of River Street following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, law enforcement found two men with gunshot injuries.

Mikal Muhammad, 36, from Red Bank, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he was treated for his injuries and later released.

The investigation is being conducted by the Major Crimes Bureau of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office alongside the Red Bank Police Department. Authorities are seeking information from the public to aid their investigation and have provided contact details for Detective Kayla Santiago of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and Detective Mike Zadlock of the Red Bank Police Department for anyone who might have insights into the shooting.
