One person shot, in critical condition during Omaha mall shooting

OMAHA, NE – Police in Omaha said one person has been shot and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after suspects opened fire at the Westroads Mall.

“Shooting Incident at Westroads Mall. One victim was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. Suspects fled the scene and are at large. OPD is searching the entire mall as a precaution. Please avoid the area. A press release will be sent later with more information,” the department said.

Omaha Scanner reported, “Police confirm that the mall will remain closed for the rest of the day. The walk-in shooting victim at Immanuel Hospital is related to this shooting incident.”
