BRICK TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A 37-year-old Brick Township man has been charged with multiple narcotics offenses following a month-long investigation into the distribution of marijuana and psilocybin in Ocean County, officials announced Wednesday.
According to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, detectives identified James Giordano as using a residence on Hammock Road in Brick to store and distribute illegal substances. On February 11, 2025, the Brick Township Police Special Emergency Response Team executed a court-authorized search warrant, leading to the seizure of approximately 18 pounds of marijuana, 3.5 pounds of hashish/THC oil, 14 ounces of THC edibles, 12 ounces of psilocybin, and $62,000 in cash.
Authorities also froze approximately $279,000 from Giordano’s bank accounts under a court order.
Giordano was arrested at the residence without incident and charged with multiple counts of possession and intent to distribute marijuana, hashish, and psilocybin, as well as financial facilitation. He was transported to the Ocean County Jail but was later released under New Jersey Bail Reform.
The investigation was conducted by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Economic Crime Squad, Brick Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit, and Barnegat Township Police Crime Reduction Unit.
