RIVERHEAD, N.Y. – Suffolk County prosecutors will announce sweeping charges Monday against two Holbrook residents accused of running a large-scale narcotics distribution operation that netted millions in drugs, firearms, and cash.
District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney and Police Commissioner Kevin Catalina are expected to detail the case against Caleb Moran, 28, and Jessica Medina-Rivas, 28, who are charged with Operating as Major Traffickers along with related offenses.
Authorities said the takedown led to the seizure of roughly $2 million worth of cocaine, methamphetamine, and other narcotics, as well as firearms and large amounts of currency. The haul will be displayed at a press briefing following the pair’s initial court appearance.
The arraignment is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Monday before Judge John B. Collins at Suffolk County Court in Riverhead. Tierney and Catalina will then hold a 11 a.m. press conference at the District Attorney’s Office in the Arthur M. Cromarty Court Complex, where the seized evidence will be shown.
Press credentials are required for entry, and media inquiries are being directed to Emily O’Neill, Deputy Director of Communications for the District Attorney’s Office.
The case marks one of the largest narcotics seizures in Suffolk County this year, underscoring ongoing efforts to dismantle trafficking networks across Long Island.
