Pasadena Man Wins $50K with Deluxe Crossword Scratch-Off

ANNAPOLIS, MD – A Pasadena resident won a $50,000 top prize with a $5 Deluxe Crossword 8th edition scratch-off ticket, thanks to uncovering eight words in two puzzles. The Anne Arundel County man purchased the winning ticket at Scott Brothers Wine & Spirits after work last week.

While playing the scratch-off at the store, he discovered four black words in the first puzzle and four red words in the second puzzle, which secured the top prize. Initially, he was skeptical of the win until the cashier confirmed it by scanning the ticket.

The winner, who works for a tree removal service, plans to use some of his prize money for a down payment on a home. His wife was thrilled with the news when he shared it with her. Scott Brothers Wine & Spirits, located at 936 Bay Ridge Road in Annapolis, will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The 8th Edition of the Deluxe Crossword game launched in September 2023 with eight $50,000 top prizes. Two top prizes remain, along with five $10,000 prizes and numerous other prizes ranging from $5 to $1,000.
