PATERSON, NJ — Despite the rain, members of the Paterson Police Department departed Friday to begin the 2025 Police Unity Tour, joining thousands of officers on a multi-day bike ride to Washington, D.C. to honor fallen colleagues.

The annual event raises awareness and funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum. The Paterson officers ride in memory of those who lost their lives in the line of duty, continuing the tour’s mission: “We Ride for Those Who Died.”
