ALLEGANY COUNTY, Md. — An 83-year-old pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday night on New Georges Creek Road near Frostburg, according to the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies and emergency personnel responded at approximately 11:07 p.m. to the area of New Georges Creek Road and Old National Pike for a reported crash involving a pedestrian.
Victim Pronounced Dead at the Scene
Authorities said the vehicle involved was being operated by a juvenile at the time of the collision.
The 83-year-old pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff’s office has not yet released the victim’s identity.
