Pedestrian killed in Oxon Hill crash after being struck by two vehicles

A man died at the scene after being hit in the eastbound lanes of St. Barnabas Road Wednesday night.

Oxon Hill, MD– A fatal pedestrian collision is under investigation after an adult male was struck and killed late Wednesday in Oxon Hill, with officials now working to identify the victim and notify his family. The incident unfolded along a busy stretch of roadway as evening traffic moved through the area.

Officers responded around 8:40 p.m. to St. Barnabas Road and Virginia Lane, where they found the victim suffering from critical injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crash investigation underway

According to the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit, “The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was struck by two vehicles in the eastbound lanes of St. Barnabas Road.” Both drivers involved remained at the scene and were not injured in the crash.

Investigators have not yet released the identity of the victim, describing him only as an adult male. Authorities said they are actively working to confirm his identity before notifying next of kin.
