Pennsylvania Child Sexual Assault Suspect Waives Preliminary Hearing in Sexual Assault Case Involving Minor

December 18, 2024

COLUMBIA, PA – A 43-year-old man from Columbia, Robert Jeffrey Fink Jr., has waived his preliminary hearing, propelling his case concerning the alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl directly to the Court of Common Pleas. The decision was made before Judge Miles Bixler this week.

Fink faces multiple charges including statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person under 16, unlawful contact with a minor, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors (two counts), and indecent assault of a person less than 16 years of age.

The incident in question reportedly occurred on September 9, 2023, around 8 p.m. at Fink’s residence located on the 900 block of Plane Street. According to police reports, the victim stated that Fink supplied her with marijuana, leading to her becoming “very high,” after which he allegedly performed oral sex on her and sexually assaulted her despite her protests.

Forensic evidence supported the allegations when DNA testing matched Fink’s DNA to samples taken from the victim. Currently, Fink is detained in Lancaster County Prison with bail set at $500,000.
