Philadelphia Police Seek Suspect in Armed Carjacking Incident

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Southwest Detective Division/Major Crimes Carjacking unit is seeking public assistance in locating a suspect involved in a carjacking incident on July 10, 2024, at 8:32 PM. The event took place on the unit block of S. 39th Street.

The suspect is described as a Black female, 20 years of age, with a medium complexion, approximately 5’3″ tall, and a thin build. She has black hair styled in two ponytails and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt. The suspect was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

Vehicle Description: The stolen vehicle is a 2010 white Buick Lacrosse with Pennsylvania license plate MMD-9255. The vehicle features tinted black windows on both the driver and passenger sides and has a dark blue driver’s side view mirror.

Authorities urge anyone who sees the suspect or the vehicle to avoid approaching and to contact 911 immediately. Tips can be submitted via telephone by dialing 215.686.TIPS (8477) or by texting to the same number. An electronic form is also available for submitting tips anonymously. All tips will be kept confidential.

The police are actively seeking any information that could lead to the apprehension of the suspect and recovery of the stolen vehicle.
