Pittsburgh man with history of drug and gun convictions arrested on parole violations

PITTSBURGH, PA — A fugitive with a record of drug and firearm convictions was taken into custody Friday, Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus announced.

Brandon Cunningham, 29, had been wanted since October for parole violations stemming from previous guilty pleas on drug and gun charges. Two bench warrants were issued for his arrest at that time.

Sheriff’s detectives tracked Cunningham to a residence on N. Wheeler Drive in Homewood. As detectives approached the home Friday afternoon, Cunningham unexpectedly opened the door. He was arrested without incident and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.

Sheriff Kraus commended the detectives for their efforts in safely apprehending the fugitive.
