Pittsburgh, PA- On Wednesday, Pittsburgh Police’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit, assisted by the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, arrested 24-year-old Melik Johnson of Pittsburgh. He was detained on multiple felony warrants, including one related to a firearm robbery on August 7 in the 7500 block of Mulford Street.
Johnson faces charges including Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy, Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Possessing Instruments of a Crime. He is also tied to an incident on September 24 in the South Side Flats neighborhood involving a stolen vehicle.
During the September incident, police located the stolen vehicle but Johnson had fled. Officers recovered a firearm from the vehicle, resulting in additional charges for Johnson.
Johnson is charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Carrying a Firearm without a License, and Fleeing from Police, among others. He was taken to Allegheny County Jail following his arrest.
