Point Pleasant Mayor Personally Delivers $100,000 Check to UN for Ukraine Aid

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ – Point Pleasant Beach Mayor Paul Kanitra, a rising star in the New Jersey Republican party, personally traveled to New York City and the United Nations Headquarters to deliver a $100,000 check to the World Kitchen for support in Ukraine.

The money was raised through a Point Beach Cares concert fundraiser. Kanitra also presented a $92,000 check to Caritas Internationalis.

“These donations will provide over a hundred thousand meals for Ukrainian refugees who are desperately hungry,” Kanitra said. “It will help support and safeguard so many orphans and children needlessly affected by this horrible war. You all have made an incredible difference in the world and should be so freaking proud. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for stepping up like this.”

In March, Kanitra personally visited Ukraine to help refugees in the war-torn country.
