Polce Seeking Fugitive Wanted for Deadly Virginia Hit and Run

Dumfries, VA — Investigators have identified Keith Anthony McBride, 41, as the suspect in the fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred on July 20 in the parking lot of the Oasis at Montclair Apartment complex located in the 16400 block of Stedham Cl. Arrest warrants for felony murder, felony hit and run, and grand larceny auto have been issued for McBride.

Keith Anthony McBride, described as a Black male, 5’10”, 161 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, resides in the 7600 block of Helmsdale Pl in Manassas. Despite efforts to locate him, McBride remains at large.

The deceased pedestrian has been identified as Jose Vasquez Galvan, 37, of Dumfries. On July 23 at 9:54 AM, officers located the vehicle connected to the incident while on an unrelated call in the 14900 block of Ashdale Cir in Woodbridge. Surveillance images obtained in the area of the incident are aiding the investigation.

The victim, Galvan, succumbed to his injuries on July 22 after being hospitalized since the incident. The crash occurred when McBride allegedly struck Galvan and stole his 1999 gold Lexus RX 300. Investigators continue to seek information regarding McBride’s whereabouts and the circumstances leading to the incident.
