Police Arrest 19-Year-Old for Intoxication and Drug Paraphernalia

Wilkes-Barre, PA – Officers from the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department responded to a report of a person lying unresponsive on the sidewalk on East Market Street on October 13th.

The incident occurred at 3:40 AM, and upon arrival, officers encountered Joshua Oliver, 19, who was visibly under the influence of a controlled substance. The police determined that Oliver’s condition posed a danger to himself.

Subsequently, Oliver was taken into custody by law enforcement. During a search, officers discovered drug paraphernalia in his possession.

The defendant was then transported to City Headquarters for processing.
