Police Investigate Assault Incident Near Westgate Circle

Annapolis, MD – Police are investigating an assault that occurred Saturday morning near West Street and Westgate Circle. At approximately 8:50 a.m., two men were walking towards each other on the sidewalk when an altercation ensued.

The victim reported that the suspect, a white male carrying a backpack and umbrella, failed to yield and forcibly struck him in the chest. The suspect allegedly threatened to “blast” the victim while using racial slurs. Despite the confrontation, both individuals continued walking in their respective directions. The victim declined medical attention and reported no physical injuries. No weapon was displayed during the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
