GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Authorities are investigating multiple violent incidents in Anne Arundel County, including an attempted robbery, a shooting, and an armed assault that resulted in arrests.

On February 14, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Greenway SE in Glen Burnie for a reported attempted robbery. Police said three male suspects approached an adult male victim, asked for money, and then assaulted him in an attempt to take his cash. The suspects fled without taking any property.

Two days later, on February 16, officers responded to the 700 block of Biddle Road in Glen Burnie at around 7:40 p.m. after a single gunshot was fired into a home. No injuries were reported, and detectives are continuing to investigate.

In a separate incident on February 15, officers responded to a report of an armed subject in the 1700 block of W. Nursery Road in Linthicum around 9:00 p.m. Police said a verbal dispute escalated when a suspect displayed a firearm while making threats. Officers later located the suspects’ vehicle on Elkridge Landing Road and arrested two North Carolina residents, Darius Riddick, 33, of Knightdale, and Joy Gary, 44, of Halifax. A firearm was recovered.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the ongoing investigations to call 410-222-6135.
