Police investigate firearm threat outside South Wilkes-Barre business

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Authorities are investigating a report of terroristic threats involving a firearm after a 25-year-old man said he was threatened early Saturday morning, according to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department.

Officers responded to a residence on Miner Street at approximately 5:01 a.m. after the victim reported being threatened while outside a business on South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard.

According to the victim, an unidentified male suspect approached him and displayed a firearm, stating, “I’m going to kill you,” while pointing the weapon at him. The victim told police he fled the scene on foot as the suspect entered a red sedan and drove away.

Police have not released additional details about the suspect, and no arrests have been made. The investigation remains active as authorities work to locate the individual involved.
