HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Police are investigating a report that an adult man allegedly harassed a child outside Hackettstown Middle School, and have interviewed a person of interest as the investigation continues.
According to the Hackettstown Police Department, officers received the report on Monday, July 13, involving an alleged incident outside Hackettstown Middle School, located at 500 Washington St.
On Tuesday, July 14, officers located and interviewed the adult male near the middle school as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police said no charges have been filed.
The Hackettstown School District is cooperating with investigators as the case remains active.
Authorities said no additional information is being released at this time.
