Police Investigate Strong-Arm Robbery in Manassas

MANASSAS, Va. — Authorities are investigating a strong-arm robbery that took place on the evening of Friday, August 16, 2024, near Stonehouse Loop and Coppermine Drive in Manassas. The incident occurred around 10:17 p.m. and involved a 27-year-old man who was approached from behind by an unknown woman while walking in a wooded area.

According to the investigation, the suspect attempted to take the victim’s wallet, leading to a brief struggle during which the victim was scratched. The victim managed to retain his wallet, and the suspect then walked away from the scene.

The victim sustained minor injuries and contacted the police after leaving the area.

The suspect is described as a Black female, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a skinny build. Authorities are asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact the Prince William County Police Department.

The investigation is ongoing.
