Police nab suspect in foiled armed robbery in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attempted armed robbery in Northwest Washington on Tuesday night, police said.

The incident occurred around 9:26 p.m. on December 17 in the 1400 block of Oak Street NW. Police said the suspect approached a victim with a handgun and demanded property. When the victim refused to comply, the suspect fled the scene without obtaining any items.

Officers located and arrested Fanuel Soloman, a resident of Northwest D.C., shortly after the incident. He has been charged with attempt to commit robbery while armed.

The investigation remains ongoing as police continue to review the circumstances surrounding the case.
