Police offering $25,000 reward to help solve weekend murder of Landover man

LANDOVER, MD – Detectives with the Prince George County Police Department’s Homicide Unit are investigating the fatal shooting of 26- year-old Ernesto Gomez of Landover. 

On February 18, 2022, at approximately 8:00 pm, patrol officers were called to the 2500 block of Kent Town Place for a reported shooting.  The victim was located outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are looking to identify a suspect(s) and a motive. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Tipsters will never have to give their name.
