Police Search for Attacker Involved in Assault at Flatbush Avenue Subway Station

NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an assault at the Flatbush Avenue and Fulton Street subway station.

The incident occurred on Thursday, August 29, at approximately 10:55 a.m., when a 24-year-old man was attacked on the northbound platform. According to police, the suspect engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim before striking him in the back of the head with a closed fist.

The victim sustained pain and swelling to his head and neck and was transported by EMS to NYU Langone Health Cobble Hill for treatment of minor injuries.

The suspect fled the scene by boarding an incoming northbound train. Authorities have released an image of the individual and are asking anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to come forward.
