Police search for suspect after elderly man assaulted in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Police are searching for a suspect who assaulted a 73-year-old man during a dispute inside a commercial building in Brownsville late last month.

The incident occurred on Monday, November 25, at approximately 7:38 p.m. at 767 Rockaway Avenue. According to police, the suspect got into an argument with the elderly man before throwing him against a metal door, causing head lacerations.

The suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. Emergency medical services transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

Authorities have not released a description of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual.
