Police search for two men wanted in parking lot assault at Manassas restaurant

MANASSAS, VA — Authorities are seeking two suspects in connection with a violent assault that occurred early Thursday morning outside Columbus Grill on Centreville Road in Manassas.

Officers responded to the incident around 3:04 a.m. on November 28. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 27-year-old man, was involved in a verbal altercation in the restaurant parking lot with two acquaintances that escalated into a physical attack.

According to police, the two suspects, identified as Christopher Osbaldo Aguirre-Argueta and Eric Yovany Melara, repeatedly struck and kicked the victim after knocking him to the ground. One of the men allegedly threw an unknown object at the victim before both suspects fled the scene in a black Toyota pickup truck.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Following the incident, officers obtained warrants for Aguirre-Argueta, 29, and Melara, 34, on charges of malicious wounding. Efforts to locate the suspects have so far been unsuccessful.

Aguirre-Argueta is described as a white male, 6’2” tall, weighing 210 pounds, with brown curly hair and brown eyes. Melara is described as a white male, 5’5” tall, weighing 165 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.
