Police seek driver in brutal Southern Avenue hit-and-run

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man was left unconscious with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene in Southeast D.C. during the early hours of April 19, sparking a public plea for help in identifying the driver.

So far, no arrests have been made and no suspect has been named. Officials have not released identifying details of the vehicle, but are continuing to canvass for witnesses and additional video evidence.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.
