Police seek public’s help in locating missing 12-year-old boy in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 12-year-old Asaad Hammond, who was last seen on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at approximately 3:00 p.m.

Hammond was last seen in the 5600 block of North 7th Street. He is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds, with a medium build, brown eyes, and black hair.

He was last seen wearing an olive-green sweatshirt with black writing, orange swim shorts, gray Crocs, and mismatched socks—one black and one white.

Anyone with information about Hammond’s whereabouts is urged to contact Northwest Detectives at 215-686-3353.

The investigation is ongoing as police work to locate the missing boy.
