Police Seize Drugs and Arrest Two During Pasadena Traffic Stop

Pasadena, MD — Anne Arundel County Police arrested two men during a traffic stop in Pasadena, resulting in the seizure of significant quantities of drugs.

On May 10, at approximately 12:35 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop of a blue 2004 Honda Accord on Route 100 near Catherine Avenue. During the stop, officers recovered 224 gel caps containing around 100 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl, 88 vials with approximately 205 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 53 suspected Alprazolam pills, 18 suspected Oxycodone pills, two cell phones, and $1,193 in cash. The passenger had an open arrest warrant.

The driver, James Nathan Helsel, 40, of Severna Park, and the passenger, Wayne Chase, 58, of Baltimore, were taken into custody.
